(a),(b)&(c): According to the information furnished by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), 759 cases were disposed of by the Courts during the year 2000-2001 (upto 30.6.2001). Of these cases, 478 cases ended in conviction and 174 cases in acquittal. In 2 cases, sentence of 1 month was awarded and in none of these cases, fine was imposed.
