Question : DIAGNOSTIC CENTRES



(a) whether the Government has dropped certain diagnostic centres from the panel of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) in Delhi, if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(b) whether the Government has retained a large number of diagnostic centres on the panel of CGHS which reportedly lack proper facilities for pathological tests, if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor along with the reaction of the Govt, thereto; and

(c) the corrective measures taken/likely to be taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): Following Diagnostic Centres were removed from CGHS panel w.e.f. 01.08.2014 subsequent to “Operation Jonk” aired by a TV Channel and on the basis of report of the “Ethics Committee” of Medical Council of India that they were indulging in unethical practices:

ii. City X-ray & Scan Centre, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi

iii. Star Imaging Centre, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi.

iv. Global Diagnostics, Yusuf Sarai, New Delhi.

v. Diwan Chand Medical Services, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi.

vi. Diwan Chand Medical Services, KG Marg, New Delhi.

vii. Unique Diagnostics, Dilshad Garden, Delhi.

viii. Orbit Imaging, Pusa Road, New Delhi.

ix. SRL Diagnostics, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

x. SRL Diagnostics, Noida.

xi. SRL Diagnostics, Okhla Road.

xii. SRL Diagnostics, Gurgaon.

xiii. SRL Diagnostics, Preet Vihar, New Delhi.

xiv. SRL Diagnostics, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi.

(b) & (c): With a view to provide Quality laboratory services to CGHS beneficiaries, Government decided to prescribe NABL Accreditation for diagnostic laboratories. Non accredited laboratories are empanelled provisionally under CGHS and shall be inspe- cted by Quality Council of India (QCI) within one year of their empanelment for the Quality of serv ices available with them as per the terms and conditions of empane- lment by QCI. In case they are not recommended by QCI, they are liable to be removed from CGHS panel.
