(a) whether the targets set under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) have been achieved during the Eleventh Five Year Plan and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(b) whether any audit of this scheme was done by any independent agency and if so, the details thereof?

(a) A total no. of 60,638 habitations were to be connected by constructing a total road length of 2,30,447 km (1,29,707 km under New Connectivity and 1,00,740 km under Upgradation) during 11th Five Year Plan under the Pradhan Mantri Gram SadakYojana (PMGSY). Out of these targeted habitations, a total no. of 47,809 habitations were connected by constructing a total road length of 2,29,924 km (1,22,107 km under New Connectivity and 1,07,817 km under Upgradation).
