Question : Swachh Bharat Mission

(a) whether the Government proposes to provide legal backing to Swachh Bharat Mission;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether details of punishment, fine and enforcement of law is being worked out in this regard; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) As sanitation is a State Subject, it is upto the State Governments to provide legal backing to Swachh Bharat Mission, if considered necessary by them.
