(a) whether the Government has set up/proposes to set up procurement centres to purchase forest products at the minimum support price;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the number of procurement centres set up by the Government for the procurement of forest products during each of the last three years, State/UT-wise; and
(d) the value of forest products procured through these procurement centres during the said period, State/ UT-wise and year-wise?

(a)&(b): Yes Madam. The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED) which is a cooperative society registered under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act and is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, has been implementing the scheme namely “Mechanism for marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) through Minimum Support Price (MSP) and development of Value Chain for MFP”, the Govt. of India administer the procurement of Minor Forest Produce(MFP) through designated State Procuring Agencies which in turn procures directly through Primary Level Cooperative Societies working in the tribal areas, Haats/Bazzars/Sandies . However in certain States some designated procurement centres are opertationalised, the information of which is under:

(c): During the last three years, the designated State Procuring Agencies have set up about 1199 procurement centre for procurement of MFP commodities covered under MSP Scheme in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha and Rajasthan.
