(a) & (b): The National Social Security Board constituted under the Unorganised Workers’
Social Security Act, 2008 has recommended to extend the benefits of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima
Yojana (RSBY) to ASHA workers. The recommendation of the Board has been conveyed to the
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
(c): An allocation of Rs. 350 crore has been made under RSBY during 2010-11.
