(a) whether the weavers/artisans are being assisted on social, technological, marketing and financial interventions under the Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State/UTwise;
(c) whether the Government is the custodian of the handloom industry and is training the weavers under many schemes and one of them is Guru Shishya Parampara; and
(d) if so, the State/UT-wise details of schemes in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. Artisans are being assisted with social Interventions and Extension Support and Comprehensive Development Support through technological, marketing, skill improvement, infrastructure and any other requirement of interventions of the cluster under the Baba Saheb Hastshilp Vikas Yojana.
The State/UT-wise details for the year 2014-15 (upto 30.11.2014) are enclosed as Annexure-I.
(c) & (d): To support and promote the handloom sector, the Government is implementing training and skill development programmes under Integrated Skill Development Scheme (ISDS) in various parts of the country by Weavers Service Center (WSC) and Indian Institute of Handloom Technology(IIHT) to help handloom weavers produce diversified products with innovative use and improved quality to meet changing market trends and get remunerative prices. The training and skill development programmes includes training in preparatory process, winding, sizing, graph making, weaving, manual designing, CATD designing, printing, dyeing, lattice making and card punching etc. 229 training programmes covering 4580 weavers with financial implication of Rs.294.47 lakh has been sanctioned during 2012-14 under ISDS. As regards handicrafts sector, following Training programme in Punja Durry have been undertaken under Guru Shishya parampara scheme of office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) at Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
