(a)whether the attention has been drawn to a newspaper report that the Government proposes to close down the Calcutta port in order to cut down its mounting losses;
(b)whether it is also proposed to shift all the facilities from Calcutta to Haldia;
(c)whether there is any simultaneous proposal to commercially exploit the vast real estates under the ownership of the Calcutta Port Trust; and
(d)if so, the details thereof ?
