Question : Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan Yojana

(a)the aims and objective of launching Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Man-dhan (PM-SYM) scheme;
(b)whether the Government has achieved the objective for which PM-SYM was launched and if so, the details thereof and the total number of unorganized workers enrolled so far under PM-SYM scheme in the State of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu;
(c)the amount allocated for this scheme during each of the last three years and amount utilized and reasons for very low utlization of allocated funds;
(d)the other steps taken by the Government to enroll more and more unorganized workers under the scheme;
(e)the expediture and implementation details of the PM-SYM so far; and
(f)the category-wise number of people who are eligible to avail benefits under the PM-SYM Yojana in Maharashtra and the number of the workers who have got themselves registered to avail benefits under this scheme in Maharashtra ?

unorganized workers, in terms of monthly pension. The workers of unorganized sector in the age group of 18-40 years having monthly income not more than Rs. 15000/- are eligible for enrolment under this scheme. Under the Scheme, minimum assured monthly pension of Rs. 3000/- will be provided to the unorganized workers after attaining the age of 60 years. As on 01.12.2021, total 45,78,524 unorganized workers have been registered under the PM-SYM pension scheme. In Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, 1,08,039 and 57,764 workers respectively have enrolled themselves under the pension scheme.

All the State/UT Governments have been requested to popularize the scheme and mobilize the target groups/eligible workers for enrolment under the PM-SYM scheme. Most of the States/UT Governments have extended the support in implementation of PM-SYM Scheme and taken effective steps to mobilize the unorganised workers. The Central Government has also taken several initiatives to increase the enrolment under PM-SYM Scheme such as periodic review of the progress of the scheme with States/UTs, publicity of the scheme through IEC activities, constitution of State Level Monitoring Committees (SLMC) and District Level Implementation Committees (DLIC) to ensure implementation of the PM-SYM Scheme and mobilization of beneficiaries through State Governments.

(f): As on 01.12.2021, total 5,90,666 workers have registered themselves under this scheme in Maharashtra. The category wise details of enrolment under PM-SYM Scheme in the State of Maharashtra are as under;
