(a): The major schemes of the Ministry of Tourism applicable in all States/Union Territories for developing India as a tourism hub are:
i) Integrated Development of Theme Based Tourist Circuits–Swadesh Darshan
ii) Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD)
iii) Assistance to Central Agencies for Tourism Infrastructure Development
iv) Domestic Promotion and Publicity including Hospitality (DPPH)
v) Restructured Scheme of Overseas Promotion & Publicity including Market Development Assistance (MDA)
vi) Financial Assistance to the IHMs/FCIs/IITTM/ICI/NCHMCT/ ITIs/Polytechnic Institutes/Universities/Govt. Colleges/ Govt. Vocational Schools/PSUs etc.
vii) Capacity Building for Service Providers
viii) Champion Services Sector Scheme
ix) Market Research Professional Services (MRPS)
x) Safe Tourist Destination for Women
(b): The details of the budgetary allocation for the various schemes of Ministry of Tourism during the last five years is given at Annexure-I.
(c): The Ministry of Tourism has provided financial assistance to State Governments/Union Territory Administrations under the ‘Swadesh Darshan’ and ‘National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD)’ Schemes for the development of tourism related infrastructure at various destinations/sites including historical and religious places. The list of projects sanctioned in the State of Rajasthan under the Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD Schemes is given at Annexure-II.
Under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme, the Ministry of Tourism has approved development works at Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, Sikar for Rs.29.50 Crore as part of its project sanctioned under Krishna Circuit theme and Rs.6.77 Crore for development works at Salasar Balaji as part of Spiritual Circuit theme project sanctioned in Rajasthan.
