MINISTER OF LAW, JUSTICE AND COMPANY AFFAIRS (SHRI RAM JETHMALANI)

(a): Yes, Sir.

(b)& (c) : The Tripura Legislative Assembly had passed a resolution for the establishment of a separate High Court for Tripura. A proposal in connection with this matter was also received from the Chief Minister of Tripura in 1998. Considering the workload, it was conveyed to the Chief Minister of Tripura that the existing permanent Bench of the High Court at Agartala was sufficient for the present.
