(a) whether companies under Steel Authority of India Limited are able to sell their total production at present;
(b) if so, the details thereof, company-wise;
(c) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) the details of these companies earning profits, company-wise?

(a) to (c): there are two Companies viz. Indian Iron & Steel Company Ltd. (IISCO) and Maharashtra Electrosmelt Limited (MEL) under Steel Authority of India Limited. The details of Production & Sales of their main products during 2000-2001 (April-July, 2000) are as follows:
