Question : National Industrial Corridor Development Programme

(a) whether any new scheme is under consideration for the construction of National Corridor under the National Industrial Corridor Development (NICD) Programme of the Union Government and if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether any new scheme is approved under the NICD Programme in tribal areas like Betul, Khargone and Barwani in Madhya Pradesh which may give impetus to cotton export and if so, the details thereof;

(c) if not, the time by which it is likely to be approved;
(d) whether any new corridor scheme has been approved for promotion of industries in small cities; and

(e) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (e): Government of India has accorded approval for development of 11 Industrial corridors having 32 projects/ nodes/ manufacturing clusters. The development framework for the Industrial Corridor Programme is based on a partnership between Government of India and the respective State Government. The details of all Industrial Corridors and projects/ nodes / manufacturing clusters including those in the State of Madhya Pradesh is given at Annexure.
