(a) whether the Government has any proposal to setup a solar park in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government has released funds for setting up of the said park;
(d) if so, the name of the company identified for the construction of the said park; and
(e) the time by which it is likely to be set up?

(a) to (d): Government has sanctioned Solar Parks of 1465 MW capacity in Jalaun district under the Scheme for Development of Solar Park and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects. The details are as under:
(i) A 1200 MW Solar Park has been sanctioned to a joint venture of NHPC Ltd. and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA). No Central Financial Assistance (CFA) has been released for this park so far.
(ii) Solar Park capacity of 265 MW capacity spread over different locations in Jalaun district has been sanctioned for development by Lucknow Solar Power Development Corporation Ltd. (LSPDCL); a Joint Venture of UPNEDA & Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Ltd. Central Financial Assistance (CFA) of Rs. 38 Cr has been disbursed to LSPDCL for development of 440 MW Solar Park capacity sanctioned for different locations in UP including 265 MW capacity in Jalaun district.
(e): As per the Scheme guidelines, Solar Parks are to be set up within a period of two (2) years from the date of their approval by this Ministry.
