Question : Monetary Assistance to Students

(a) whether the Government is implementing any scheme to provide monetary assistance to students through the Direct Transfer of Benefit across the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof indicating the funds provided under the said Scheme during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;

(c) the details of various scholarships awarded to meritorious students; and

(d) the total number of scholarships awarded to the students during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise?

(a) to (d): The Ministry of Education is implementing various schemes to encourage students to pursue education by providing financial assistance in the form of scholarships through Direct Transfer of Benefits throughout the country. Details of scholarship schemes administered by Ministry of Education, the total number of scholarships awarded and funds provided to the students during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise is available at https://www.education.gov.in/en/parl_ques.
