(a) whether the Government have any plans for the renovation of Nasik Road station and Odha
station, keeping in view the ‘Kumbh Mela’ to be held in 2003 at Nasik, Maharashtra;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the time by which the renovation work at these stations is likely
to be completed; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a)&(b): Yes, Sir. All necessary arrangements are being made for the Mela. Following works
have been planned for better amenities at Nasik station:
(i) Provision of pipeline for additional water on Platform.
(ii) Provision of high pressure.
(iii) Temporary waiting hall at Nasik Road.
(iv) Urinal/Lavatory/bathroom at Nasik Road.
(v) Temporary waiting hall, booking office at Odha.
