(a)&(b): Yes, Sir. The provincial Government of British Columbia, Canada ordered in February 2007 closure of the Lansbridge University
with effect from 1SI May 2007, after the authorities found serious
violation of provincial laws by the University.
( c)&(d): The Consul General of India in Toronto, has taken up the
matter with the provincial Government of British Columbia, Canada. He
also had a meeting with
the Minister of Advanced Education of the Govt.
of Canada. The British Columbian government has appointed a Liasion
Officer to help the concerned students by making alternative arrangements
to transfer the students to other Universities. Of the total 60 Indian
students affected, about 50 students have already been transferred to
other Universities.
