Answer given by the minister

MINISTER OF HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

(SMT. SMRITI ZUBIN IRANI)

(a) to (e): University of Delhi has reported that there is no such decision to deduct 10% marks of non-CBSE board students from their best of four subjects. It has been clarified that all discipline subjects must have at least a 70% component of theory exams (theory exam does not include Internal Assessment/ Continuous Evaluation etc.), irrespective of the Board, for it to be considered for calculation of best of four. Even subjects offered by CBSE, having theory component of less than 70%, are also treated the same way. University has also informed that some aggrieved students had approached Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in the matter but their petition was dismissed by the Hon’ble High Court vide order dated 17.07.2015.
