(a) whether the Railways are considering for stoppage of more trains at Tripunithura
near Ernakulam, Kerala in view of the heavy rush of passengers and the difficulty being
faced by the passengers to reach far away stations to board trains; and
(b) if so, the time by which it is likely to be provided?

(a) & (b) At present, there is no proposal to provide stoppage of additional trains at
Tripunittura. However, stoppage of 16303/16304 Ernakulam-Thiruvananthapuram Central
Vanchinad Express has recently been provided at Tripunittura w.e.f. 02.10.2012.
