Question : NATIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS



(a) the budgetary allocations made for national skill development projects during the current financial year;

(b) whether any such project has been barred from receiving further funds due to irregularities detected therein; and

(c) If so, the details of such projects State-wise?

MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) IN THE MINISTRY OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT & ENTREPRENEURSHIP (SHRI RAJIV PRATAP RUDY)

a) The budgetary allocation of the new Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for national skill development projects is routed through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The current year’s outlay towards the National Skill Certification and Monetary reward Scheme (STAR scheme) is Rs 435 crore.

In addition to that, at least 21 other Ministries have different budgetary allocations made for different skill development schemes/activities and programs during the current Financial Year.
