(a) whether efforts have been made by the Government for allotment of LPG distributorship in
Banka and Jamui districts of Bihar;
(b) if so, the details of the last two years;
(c) whether the Government are contemplating to allot some more LPG distributorships in the c
urrent financial year; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reported that at present, the LPG
requirement in Banka and Jamui districts of Bihar is being catered by 4 LPG distributorships each
in these districts, out of which 1 LPG distributorship was commissioned in the year 2006-07.
(c) & (d): Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) has reported that they have advertised for 1 new
LPG distributorship in Banka District of Bihar under Scheduled Caste (Women) category on
18.10.2007.
