(a) the details of the gauge conversion projects being undertaken at present in North Eastern Railways, Gorakhpur;

(b) the progress made so far on each project; and

(a) to (c): The details of ongoing Gauge Conversion projects under North Eastern Railway indicating the anticipated cost, expenditure incurred upto March, 2005, outlay provided during 2005-06 and status alongwith target date for completion wherever fixed is as under :-

bridge works etc.	have been taken	up. Out of this,	Thawe-Siwan	Section is	targeted for	opening during	2005-06.
2.	Kanpur-Kasganj- 661.72 207.25	43.35	The overall	Mathura -Bareilly	physical progress	including	is 42%. Kanpur-	material	Farrukhabad	modification for	section is	extension from	targeted for	Bareilly to	completion during	Lalkuan on Kanpur-	2005-06.	Farrukhabad	section (544.5	Kms).
3.	Gonda-Bahraich- 73.42	2.27	0.01	The overall	Sitapur-Lucknow	physical progress	Ph-I	is 5%. Earthwork	(479.9 Kms)	and bridges taken	up.
4.	Gonda-Gorakhpur 381.17 44.11	0.10	The overall	Loop with	physical progress	Anandnagar-	is 13%. Earthwork	Nautanwa	and bridges taken	(260 Kms)	up.
5.	Aunrihar-Jaunpur 85.92	0.02	2.00	Earthwork & minor	(50.60 Kms)	bridges taken up.
