(a) whether the Union Government has issued instructions to the State Governments for creation of a special cell for accelerating infrastructure development programme for tourism and providing recreation and service facilities and expeditious completion of pending tourism projects;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the details of States which have set up the special cell and those which have not set up the same as yet?

(a), (b) & (c): The Ministry of Tourism reviews the performance/progress of the on-going tourism projects all over the country on a regular basis through field visits by officers of headquarters and Indiatourism offices. Regular review meetings are also held with the concerned officials of the State Governments and the progress of the implementation of all the projects are constantly discussed and reviewed. No instructions for creation of special cell, however has been issued.
