(a) whether the Railways are planning to set up a separate
Railway Recruitment Board for the Konkan Railway;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether there is no information about the recruitment
of the local unemployed youths of the Konkan region in the Konkan
Railways; and
(d) if so, the reasons therefor?

(b): Does not arise.
(c) & (d): Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a Public Sector
Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has its own system of recruitment.
As a matter of policy, KRCL gives preference to Landlosers and their wards
whose land has been acquired for the construction of Konkan Railway Project.
So far 1917 Landloser Candidates have been given employment in KRCL.
