(a)Yes, Sir.

(b)Proposals have been received from the countries of Japan, Italy and Belgium and World Monument Fund for conservation of some monuments and historical objects.

# Japan is providing financial assistance through UNESCO for conservation of Buddhist sites at Sanchi and Satdhara in Madhya Pradesh.
# Japan Bank of International co-operation has given soft loan for conservation and tourism development projects at Ajanta – Ellora Piltalkhora – Aurangabad caves, Daultabad Fort and Bibi – ka – Maqbara in Maharashtra.
# A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the Government of Italy for conservation of paintings of Ajanta & Ellora.
# Janssen Pharmaceutica NV Berse, a private sector company, of Belgium has signed an MOU with ASI for conservation of paintings of Tipu Sultan’s Palace at Srirangapatana and Chemical conservation of stone work of monuments at Hampi.
# World Monument Fund is conducting Restoration of Jaisalmer Fort, Rajasthan along with ASI.
