Question : Achievements under CADWMP

(a) the details of physical and financial achievements of Command Area Development and Water Management Programme (CADWMP) during the Eleventh as well as Twelfth Five Year Plan;
(b) whether the Government is coordinating/monitoring the implementation of the CADWMP at the national level;
(c) if so, the details thereof along with the proposals received from various State Governments particularly Maharashtra for inclusion of new projects under the programme during the last five years and the current year so far along with the action taken thereon, State-wise;
(d) whether the Central Water Commission is responsible to monitor the projects implemented under CADWMP regularly; and
(e) if so, whether the monitoring reports have been prepared without any field visits and if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government to ensure the quality of works?

(a) The details of physical and financial achievements of Command Area Development and Water Management Programme (CADWMP) during the Eleventh and Twelfth Five Year Plans (upto July, 2015) are at Annexure-I.

(b) to (e) Central Water Commission (CWC) carries out periodical monitoring of physical and financial progress through its field organizations as well as through review meetings at the level of the Secretary of this Ministry. The details of new projects included under CADWM Programme including those for Maharashtra during the last five years and current year (up to July, 2015) are at Annexure-II.
