(a) and (b) The Ministry had undertaken third party physical monitoring of works completed using Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme(MPLADS) fund in selected districts through independent agencies viz. NABARD Consultancy Services Private Limited (NABCONS) and Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) Limited. Programme Evaluation Organisation (PEO) of erstwhile Planning Commission had also conducted an evaluation of the Scheme.
The agency inspects/visits the work sites to verify the assets with respect to the approved technical specifications, financial approvals, the basic quality, its utility for intended purposes, etc.
