(a) & (b) Yes, Sir. As per United Nations General Assembly Resolution 03
December of every year is celebrated as International Day of Disabled Persons.
(c) & (d) Under the scheme of National Award for the Welfare of Persons with
Disabilities, Government of India is giving National Awards to individuals and
Institutions for their outstanding contributions on the rehabilitation for persons with
disabilities. Details of the scheme and list of National Awardees, 2004 are available in the
Ministry`s website www.socialjustice.nic.in.
