Question : ACQUISITION OF LAND BY UP AWAS VIKAS PARISHAD



(a): whether the entire vacant land falling under village Kaila and Mirzapur, Pargana Loni adjacent to the Pratap Vihar Colony of Ghaziabad (U.P.) along the river Hindon, has been acquired by the U.P. Awas Vikas Parishad G.D.A. for developing a residential area under the NCR Plan;

(b): if so, the details thereof;

(c): whether a number of co-operative group housing societies registered with U.P. Awas Vikas Parishad for more than a decade had purchased land in the aforesaid area;

(d): if so, the details in this regard;

(e): whether the Parishad propose to allot suitable plots to the societies;

(f): if so, the names of the societies; and

(g): if so, by when and the reasons for delay in this regard?

(a): As per the information received from U.P. Housing & Development Board, it has framed a residential scheme namely Delhi Bulandshahar Bye Pass Road Bhumi Vikas Evam Grihasthan Yojana, Ghaziabad located between Hindon River and Pratap Vihar Colony of Ghaziabad (U.P.). The scheme was approved by the NCR Planning Board. Some part of the land of village Kaila and Mirzapur, Pargana Loni is under the process of land acquisition.

(c): Thirteen housing co-operative societies are registered with U.P. Awas Evam Vikas Parishad for more than a decade.


(d)to(g): After the land acquisition process is completed and possession of the acquired land is handed over to the UP Awas Evam Vikas Parishad, the Development work shall be undertaken by the Parishad. Thereafter appropriate steps shall be taken by the Parishad for the allotment of plots to eligible registered co-operative housing societies in accordance with the Parishad`s rules and regulations. Names of these 13 societies registered for more than a decade are furnished in Annexure.

Land acquisition process of this scheme is yet to be completed. In this regard, approval of Housing Department, U.P. Government under section 31(2) of the U.P. Awas Evam Vikas Parishad Adhiniyam is still awaited.
