(a)&(b) Yes, Sir. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in January, 2003 between India and Islamic Republic of Iran for cooperation in the Hydrocarbon Sector. There is a proposal for importing 5 Million Metric Tons Per Annum (MMTPA) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Iran in exchange for a stake in a discovered oil field.
