Question : CSR Funds

(a) the name of the places in the country where companies under the Ministry have spent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds during the last three years and the current year along with the details thereof, State/UT-wise including North-Eastern States and particularly in Assam;
(b) whether a large portion of CSR funds is not being utilised; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a) State/UT/Project/Area-wise details of expenditure under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of major Oil Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) including North-Eastern States during the last three years are available on the respective websites of Oil PSUs.
(b)&(c) Oil PSUs have informed that they have been earmarking 2% of their Profits for CSR projects. CSR activities are undertaken under the heads identified under Schedule VII of the Companies Act 2013. The unspent amount, if any, is carried forward to the following year.
