Question : Clinical Trials

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether almost half of clinical trials in the country are not reported;

(b) whether according to study, less than 10 per cent of clinical trials are completed on time and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Government proposes to roll out a new clinical trial policy for faster approvals without compromising on patient safety; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a): No.

(b): There is no such information available that less than 10% clinical trials are completed on time.

(c) & (d): Yes. Draft rules in this regard have been prepared and sent for legal scrutiny/ vetting before their publication in the official gazette.
