Question : Increase of Seats in AYUSH Hospitals-Colleges

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether any steps have been taken by the Government to increase the number of seats in various AYUSH Hospitals/ Colleges throughout the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof during the last three years and the current year; and

(c) the details of the steps taken/being taken by the Government to increase the number of Homoeopathic doctors in comparison to MBBS doctors in Medical Institutes, colleges/CGHS Centres across the country?

(a) & (b): Central Government has increased seats of existing Government/Government aided AYUSH Colleges including National Institutes under the EWS quota.

(c): At present there are no such steps being taken by Central Government.
