(a) Whether the scheme for safety of railway tracks is being formulated by the Railways;

(b) If so, whether the Railways propose to hold deliberation with State Governments regarding the formulation of the plan for the safety of railway tracks;

(c) If so, whether Railways have adequate strength of Security Forces for the safety of the tracks and trains passing through the various areas; and

(d) If so, the funds out of the allocations made for Railways spent on the safety of tracks during the current year?

(a) No, Sir. The responsibility for security of Railway tracks lies with the State Government.

(b) Deliberations with the State Government on security matters are held periodically.
