(a) the details of new trains announced in Railway Budget 2009-10;
(b) whether these trains have been introduced as per announcement;
(c) if so, the details thereof;
(d) if not, the reasons therefor; and
(e) the details of new trains proposed to be introduced under Western Railway?

(a) to (c): Of the 78 pairs of new trains announced in Railway Budget 2009-10, for
introduction, 22 pairs have been introduced as per details at Appendix-I.
(d): The trains announced in the Railway Budget are likely to be introduced during
the course of financial year.
(e): 9 pairs of new trains announced in the Railway Budget 2009-10 serve Western
Railway. Of these 3 pairs have been introduced till date as per Appendix-II.
