(a) Whether no meeting of various Zonal Railway Consultative
Committees have been held so far;
(b) If so, the reasons therefor;
(c) The rules prescribed for holding meetings in this regard; and
(d) The steps being taken by the Railways for holding the meetings of these Committees?
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI R.VELU)
(a): Two to four meetings of Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative
Committees (ZRUCCs) have been held during its tenure from 01/08/2004
to 31/07/2006.
(b): Does not arise.
(c): As per provision of Constitution of Users’ Consultative Committee,
the meetings of ZRUCC should be held thrice a year.
(d): Instructions were reiterated to hold the meetings of these committees
as per schedule.
