Question : Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin

(a) whether the Government has taken adequate steps to ensure that duplication of addresses do not take place under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) scheme;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the total number of beneficiaries under this scheme in the State of Andhra Pradesh as on date, district-wise; and

(d) the total amount utilized under the scheme during the last financial year, State-wise?

a) & b) The steps taken to ensure the de-duplication in identification of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) are as follows:

i. The universe of eligible beneficiaries under PMAY (G) include all the houseless and households living in zero, one or two room kucha houses as per SECC data, subject to the exclusion process based on 13 deprivation parameters.

ii. This Universe, thus, prepared is circulated among Gram Sabhas for verification.

iii. Before issue of Sanction Order, the BDO or any block level official authorized by the State Government shall capture through the mobile application “AwaasApp” the geo-referenced photograph of the beneficiary in front of the house where the beneficiary is living, followed by a geo-tagged photograph of the land on which the beneficiary proposes to construct the house and upload it on AwaasSoft.

c) The total number of beneficiaries under this scheme in the State of Andhra Pradesh as per Permanent Wait List (PWL) after being verified by Gram Sabha is 2,41,368. Out of these, the Ministry has already allocated targets of 1,70,912 households to the State from financial year 2016-17 till 2019-20. District-wise details as given in Annexure-I.

d) The amount of funds utilized under PMAY-G scheme during the last financial year is Rs. 46,746.99 crore. State-wise details are given in Annexure-II.
