Question : CSR Funds under PSUs

(a) the total number of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) functioning in the country under the Ministry of Power as on date;

(b) the net profit of the said PSUs during the last five years and the current year, year and company-wise;

(c) the details of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund fixed for the PSUs during the said period, year and company-wise;

(d) the names of Non-Governmental and Government institutions for which PSUs have given CSR fund during the last two years and the current year along with the names of the projects for which the said fund has been given; and

(e) the number of such institutions which have been benefitted from the CSR fund, State/UT-wise?

(a) : As on date, total nine Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are functioning in the country under the Ministry of Power. The names of the PSUs are given below:

• National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC)
• National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC)
• Rural Electrification Corporation (REC)
• North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO)

• Power Finance Corporation (PFC)
• Power Grid Corporation of India (POWER GRID)
• SJVN Limited
• THDC India Limited
• Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO)

(b) & (c) : The details of net profit and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund of the PSUs during the last five years and the current year are given at Annexure-I.

(d) : The details of Non-Governmental and Government institutions to which PSUs have given CSR fund during the last two years and the current year along with the names of the projects for which the said fund has been given are given at Annexure-II.

(e) : The number of such institutions which have implemented projects from the CSR fund, State/UT-wise is given at Annexure-III .
