Question : SURVEY WORK IN MADHYA PRADESH



(a) the present status of survey work on Jabalpur-Damoh-Panna and Bhopal-Khajuraho-Chhatarpur-Sagar lines in Madhya Pradesh;

(b) the details of funds allocated/spent thereon so far, project-wise;

(c) the time by which the construction work on the said lines is likely to be started; and

(d) the other steps taken/being taken by the Railways for timely completion of the said projects?

(a): Surveys for construction of new line from Jabalpur-Damoh-Panna (246 km) and Bhopal-Khajuraho-Chhatarpur-Sagar (320 km) have been taken up and are likely to be completed by March, 2012 and December, 2012 respectively. Further consideration of these proposals would be feasible once the survey reports become available and decisions on merits of the survey reports are finalized.

(b) to (d): No funds have been allotted for these proposed projects nor any completion schedule has been fixed as project is not yet sanctioned.
