(a) to (c): The Government in the process of formulating a new National Education Policy
for which detailed consultations have been carried with various stakeholders and several
suggestions and inputs have been received for reforming the education system across all
levels. The Committee for the Draft National Education Policy under the Chairmanship of
Dr. K. Kasturirangan submitted its report to the Ministry on 31st May 2019. The Draft NEP
2019 which was uploaded on the Ministry’s website and also at innovate.mygov.in platform
has received a large number of suggestions/comments from all stakeholders including
Government of India Ministries and State Governments. Currently, the Ministry is in the
process of finalizing the National Education Policy, 2019 that based on the Draft NEP
Report submitted by the Committee to Draft NEP, and the stakeholder feedback thereon. At
this stage, it is premature to highlight the salient features of the proposed National
Education Policy.
