(a) & (b): Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Teacher
Education, the Central Government provides resource support to
State Governments for establishment of District Institutes of
Education and Training (DIETs), Colleges of Teacher Education
(CTEs) and Institutes of Advanced Studies in Education (IASEs)
which conduct various teacher education programmes for preparing
school teachers.
