(a) whether the Government has inquired into the Samjhauta
Express blasts case;
(b) if so, the details of the findings thereof;
(c) whether the Government has given dossiers to Pakistan on the
Samjhauta Express blasts;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) the number of persons identified as the perpetrators and the number
of persons arrested in this regard?
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI JITENDRA SINGH)
(a): On the request of the State Government of Haryana and considering
the gravity of the offence, the investigation of the Samjhauta Express blasts
case dated 18/19.02.2007 has been entrusted/transferred to the National
Investigation Agency (NIA), under the relevant provision of the National
Investigation Agency Act, 2008.
(b): After investigation of the case, NIA has filed chargesheet in the
competent court against 05 accused persons.
(c): No, Madam.
(d): Does not arise.
(e): Chargesheet has been filed against 05 accused persons. Out of these,
02 persons have been arrested.
