(a) The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare administers a Centrally Sponsored Scheme namely, ‘Establishment of new medical colleges attached with existing district/referral hospitals’ under which two medical colleges have been approved in Nagaland.As per the scheme guidelines, the State Government is the implementing agency and the planning, execution and commissioning of the projects is to be done by the State Government. The details of these colleges are as below:-

The Central Government regularly follows up with the State Government for expediting these works.
(b) There is no proposal under consideration of the Central Government to establish AIIMS in Nagaland.
(c) & (d) Under Phase-I of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme– ‘Establishment of new medical colleges attached with existing district/referral hospitals’, one medical college was approved in Haryana at Bhiwani district. The details of funds approved and released for the medical college are as below:-

Further, under Phase-III of this Scheme, all States/UTs were requested to submit proposals along with Detailed Project Report (DPR) for consideration by the Ministry, However, no proposal was received from the State Government of Haryana for establishment of a medical college at Mahendragarh, Haryana. Under Phase-III of the Scheme, all the approved 75 medical colleges have already been allocated.
