(a) the number of employments for which the minimum wage has been
fixed under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 by both Union and the State
Governments;
(b) the details of minimum wages fixed in Tamil Nadu;
(c) whether it is a fact that the minimum wages are fixed either by
Committee Method or by Direct Notification Method and not under the
Minimum Wages Act;
(d) if so, the reasons therefor;
(e) whether the Government are contemplating to amend the Act to
fix minimum wages under the Minimum Wages Act; and
(f) if so, the details thereof?
