(a): Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY), the Department has allocated foodgrains to all States/UTs for additional free-of-cost distribution to around 80 Crore National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries in the country. The State/UT wise number of NFSA beneficiaries also covered under the PMGKAY scheme and the district wise details of Odisha are at Annexure-I & II respectively.
(b): So far, under the PM-GKAY implementation phases I to V, the Department has allocated a total of about 30.77 Lakh Metric Tonnes (LMT) foodgrains to the State of Odisha.
(c): Hundred percent financial burden of implementing PMGKAY scheme in all States/UTs, including Odisha is borne by the Central Government. Therefore, there is no financial burden on the State Government of Odisha for implementation of PMGKAY in the State.
