(a) the assistance likely to be provided by the Union Government for setting up of refinery in Barmer;
(b) whether Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) will set up the refinery as a main promoter, in which
marketing contract can be awarded to ONGC; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): The viability of the refinery would be primarily dependent on the fiscal incentives and
concessions by the Government of India / State Government of Rajasthan. While there is no decision on
central assistance, the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited is in consultation with the State
Government of Rajasthan on the fiscal incentives and equity structure.
