(a) the efforts made by the Government so far to encourage agro-based industries in the country particularly in Uttar Pradesh during the last three years;
(b) the number of such Agro based industries opened in each State particularly in Uttar Pradesh during the last three years; and
(c) the amount spent during the above period in each State?

(a): In order to encourage village industries, including Agro-based industries in the country, the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is implementing `Margin Money Scheme` in all the States including Uttar Pradesh. Under this Scheme, investment subsidy is provided to the beneficiaries.
(b): A list of Agro-based industries set up in each State including Uttar Pradesh is at Annexure-A.
(c): The details of disbursement made by the KVIC are at Annexure-B.
