(a) and (b): Ministry of Health & Family Welfare provides technical guidance for managing various aspects of COVID-19 including containment and surveillance, testing, clinical management protocols, management of co-morbidities, post-COVID sequale, etc. Based on emerging evidence, COVID-19 treatment protocol for adults as well as paediatric age groups have been updated and shared with all States/UTs. These treatment protocols cover all aspects related to diagnosis, patient monitoring, choice of diagnostic tests, recommended therapies, etc.
For wider dissemination, these clinical management protocols have also been disseminated under Ministry of Health & FW’s Center of Excellence initiative in all States/UTs in collaboration with AIIMS, Delhi and Indian Medical Association. These webinars focussed on a various aspects relating to clinical management protocol for COVID-19 including management of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, ventilatory management protocol, management of COVID-19 in paediatric age group, oxygen therapy without invasive ventilation, management of home isolation, role of investigations, antiviral agents, role of monoclonal antibodies and other therapies, infection prevention and control practices and post-COVID management etc.
