(a): Statements indicating state-wise details of damage to life and property due to
heavy rains and floods during 1998 and 1999, as reported by the Central Water
Commission, and for 2000-01, as reported by the State Governments are at Annexure-I.
State-wise details of damage due to drought during 1998-99 to 2000-01, as reported by
the State Governments, is at Annexure-II.
(b): Details of release of Central share of Calamity Relief Fund(CRF) and assistance
provided to the States from National Fund for Calamity Relief(NFCR)/National Calamity
Contingency Fund(NCCF) during 1998-99 to 2000-01 in the wake of natural calamities
including floods and drought are at Annexure-III.
