STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PARTS (a) TO (d) OF THE UNSTARRED
QUESTION NO. 4189 BY SHRI AVTAR SINGH BHADANA TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK
SABHA ON 21.04.2005 REGARDING RAIL LINK PROJECTS.
(a) & (b) : i) The details of on-going new rail line projects
falling partly/fully in Haryana State and names of important
places and States to be linked by rail line are given as under:-

Construction of new Rewari, Jhajjar Haryana rail line between and Rohtak Rewari and Rohtak (ii) The following surveys have been included in Budget 2005-2006 for laying new rail lines falling partly/fully in Haryana State:- a) Chandigarh-Baddi (35 kms.) b) Bhattu Kalan â Jakhal via Fatehabad and Ratia (80 kms.) c) Hissar to Sirsa via Agroha ( 93 kms.) d) Yamuna Nagar â Patiala ( 100 kms.)
(c) & (d) : A request has been received from the Government of
Haryana for construction of rail line between Rewari and Rohtak.
The work of construction of new broad gauge rail line between
Rewari and Rohtak via Jhajjar had been included in the
Supplementary Budget 2003-04. The final location survey has been
completed and detailed estimate is under preparation. An amount
of Rs. 2 crore has been proposed in the Budget 2005-06 for this
project.
